It's So On...

It’s the feeling you get when the 3-pointer is about to swish through the net with less than a second on the clock. As the slapshot squeaks between the goalie’s pads for the golden goal in overtime. And just as the swing crushes one last kill to steal the match. It’s anticipation, exaltation and triumph wrapped into the milliseconds of holding your breath. It’s BEK Sports. Learn More

Sports Broadcasting Leader

BEK pioneered local high school and college sports coverage in North Dakota, beginning in 2007. The idea was simple: provide high-quality coverage of local games and teams for people in small towns and rural areas in BEK’s cooperative and service areas.

To get started, we invested in a state-of-the-art broadcast truck and began broadcasting athletic events in southcentral North Dakota.

First of Many Milestones

The first statewide broadcast came in the winter of 2008 with the State Class B Wrestling Tournament from the Bismarck Civic Center. The following summer, BEK Sports aired the North Dakota Shrine Bowl games for the very first time, live from the FargoDome. And over the years, the milestones kept piling up.

In the last 13 years, BEK Sports has aired nearly 3,000 high school and collegiate athletic events live from nearly every major venue in North Dakota. That’s more high school and college games than any other broadcaster in the state. We also broadcast Bismarck Bucks indoor football games and some North Dakota State University athletic events.

Local and Beyond

We’re proud to have been the first, and still the best and most experienced, local sports broadcaster in North Dakota. We continue moving forward, offering local BEK Sports through multiple major cable and satellite broadcasters and expanding beyond local to bring you more high-profile sports from across the state.
